Criptoauge surfaced in April 2025 with a paid press release announcing the "global launch" of an exchange, on behalf of a company incorporated in Colorado that same year, which filed an exempt offering notice with the SEC listing a single investor of US$1,000. That is neither a license nor an authorization: it is self-declaration. The site criptoauge.co was live between April and June 2025; the mobile version was an app shell with Chinese-language code and invite-only access via a registration code. None of the domains resolve today. We found no action by the CVM, the Banco Central or any Procon involving the brand, nor any Brazilian press coverage; what exists is the release and its syndications.
In the courts, the company appears as a party to a criminal case before the Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo and as a defendant in a civil suit in Espírito Santo, in 2025 and 2026. Case numbers are not published here; these are pending judicial proceedings, not rulings.
The playbook, as the reports describe it
An Instagram ad, a WhatsApp group with an "instructor" and an "assistant," trading signals promising 20% returns, small withdrawals approved early on to build trust, then the freeze. To unlock the funds, the platform asks for a selfie holding an ID document and 20% of the profit. Then the brand changes names: reports from June 2025 say they "turned Criptoauge into Lumexia" and created a token, OBSC. Other reports, from August 2025, tie the same group to an "Orbionex Exchange" and to the misuse of the name of a real asset manager, GP Investments.
Criptoauge has no page of its own on Reclame Aqui: the complaints sit on the TDASX page and on the page of the asset manager whose name was used. That is why this page cites complaints by date, not by the page's reputation score.
Sister brands
The reports chain TDASX, Criptoauge and Lumexia together as the same playbook under successive names. Each has its own entry in this registry.
What the sources support, and what they don't
They support: that the company exists in Colorado's corporate registry and in SEC filings as an exempt offering; that the domains went offline; that the brand appears in judicial proceedings; that public reports describe the playbook. They do not support: who is behind it, the total amount lost, or that the rebrand to Lumexia is an established fact rather than an allegation. No individual is named here.
